[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
this photo was taken during a cultural festival in yeong-am, jeollanamdo province of korea.

In one part of the festival area was a pottery exibit where individual potters demonstrated their craft.

I thought it was interesting so i took a photo of this artist and his pottery painting.

Hey JP!
Welcome to TL!

I think this image is wonderful and yet, I think it could have been better if it had been retouched in photoshop. My vision, is to get rid of the background distractions, the bag, the big round bolder...cut off at the hand...get rid of the rest of the artist...and just have the focus on the hand and the pot!

Perhaps If i'll have some time I'll touch it up, but you get the idea!
Enjoy yourself JP

Hello JP,

Welcome to TL.

This is a good first post. I like the theme and my attention was immediately drawn to the urn the artist is painting. Yes I agree there are distractions in this photo as Bartek has pointed out, but in the context of a cultural festival and pottery work areas being what they are (cluttered) I think you have done well considering you would have had little control over the environment . I also like the lighting and colour in this. Kindest regards

Wayne
