[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another photo of one of the adorable Kodiak Bears at the Pretoria zoo. Close to the side of the pen is a stream in which this bear was having a lovely swim.

Obviously this caught everyones attention, but this guy was just as fascinated with us humans as we were with him! Being so close to the side I got a good chance to snap away and get some really nice close ups of his face. I like this one because of the eye contact. It almost appears to be a posed portrait!

Enjoy!

Hi Johan.

I like the cropping of this shot and the detail, a bear's face is something you don't get to see very often up close. Am I right in saying that Kodiak bears are the biggest in the world, even bigger than polar bears? I remember reading it somewhere...anyway, nice work.

Very nice POV. The colours, framing and DOP is well done! I think the bear had a secret to tell you! (eek very cute, but to close to those big teeth)

Thanks for the view

Marie-Lise

Hi Johan!
If only you didn't cropp his nose, the shot would be perfect!
