Oh no! Another dummy!

Well, I hope you agree that this is a special lady. She, and her companion that was too shy to be photographed, are a fixture of Queen Street East in downtown Toronto. Both perch on top of life guard chairs in front of a very special clothing store, a place where you don't necessarily find business casual clothes! If you are nice to them, they will let you photograph them for free. Anything else comes with a price! Well, I guess: I never asked!

Enjoy!

Merhaba Pierre.
Great capture, i like it your subject.
A successful depth of field and point of view.
Thanks for sharing, kind regards.

Yasin.

J'aime bien la composition de ton image Pierre. Belle précision et profondeur de champ. Image bien taillée. Très belle expression captée sur le sujet(hihihi). Tu as l'oeil!

Réal

This one is special Pierre! The light and shadows are perfect here. And her posture is quite dramatic with that sideways glance. Dtails are outstanding, especially the pigeon droppings :) A fav!

Love and Peace Always

Well done, Pierre. The key here is that the plastic gesture is in complete harmony with the natural light: she is shielding here eye from the sun. I also like the realness of the texture/color of the pillar behind her. Very good job, Sir!

By the way... have you bought anything? ;)))

I think you frequent some strange shops lately, Pierre. Ah well, as long as Suzanne's happy with that ;o)).
I think this has been a nightmare for deciding on the crop, right ? I like the hard sunlight here, and the excellent sharpness. Did you "buy" the model? She seems to be very patient ;o))).
TFS

very dramatic and explicit pose here! she makes a plastic statement!

A good DOF and a good crop. There is something that interest me now on mannequins. It is how they put it together. Do they have porclain eyes like those in the tatues of saints? Are their hair glued on like wigs and toupe or just resting on top of their head for flexibility? Why can they not manufacture one in matte finish to simulate actual skin? If they can do it in wax statues why not in plastics or fiberglass? Why not market a full size one as an adult toy that you can clthes, change the head, change the arms, legs, butt, etc? Just day dreaming Pierre. Nice shot!

This reminds me of an old song, "I'm going to buy a doll that I can call my own..." She looks as if she and her outfit would be expensive!

I like the hard bright sunlight, the shadows, her pose, casual but business-like, all combining to make a memorable image.

Regards,
Lois

I have a problem with this one.

Nowadays, do dummies imitate people or the other way around - do we set our paths depending on what we see in shop windows.

Cause, you know, with one move of curves or some appropriate filter, she can become a model.

Great shot. Excellent.

A dummy; pictured from special angle; your picture brings it alive; the posture and the leaning is natural.
Good work Pierre
