...just like you do!

This image was taken at a backyard party in Manila. Throughout the night, I noticed the young lady giving her suitor the cold shoulder. Somehow, this old song ran through my head...

"A woman needs love, just like you do...
Don't kid yourself, into thinking that she don't...
She can fool around, just like you do...
Unless you give her all the lovin' she wants...

Don't make the mistake, of thinking old-fashioned,
Times have changed, from yesterday...
No longer will, those old double standards...

PP: This image was a complex one to work on. This shot was taken at a backyard party at night, with only available light, which is my preference. The original image was much darker than it looks here. In this situation, I found color fidelity very hard to recover. I also used the levels to reduce image noise, although it is still there, and the grain actually adds to the mood in night shots. Other than that, the usual parameters of sharpness, contrast, and saturation which I actually had to turn down.

Nice composition. Real Pilipina beauty model you have there. Like the blurry background with the mans face starring to the lady. Add's humor in your shot.

Hi Sam- a pitcure really is worth 1000 words- you really capture the moment well. The suitor of in the background, being totaly ignored, your subject's body language putting a wall between them, your subject enjoying having the upper hand. very nice work my friend!

Your other portrait is better (Revenge...), but she is soooo much prettier!
Low lighting and resulting grain, but you capture her expression so well... Seems like she has put her eyes on a more interesting "subject"... And this time it is not the photographer..!
