Hello Everyone. A couple of months ago while out walking we thought what a good picture one of the new high speed trains that runs close to our house would be. With long exposure to get some motion into the train, checked the best time of day to get the sunlight on the livery of the new high speed train, selected POV, looking over a field of rape seed to give some foreground interest and colour. The stage was set.....

Last Tuesday conditions were ideal for our train shot. We set of for our POV to wait for a passing train. Unfortunately when we arrived the rapeseed has grown so high you can't see the train, hear it yes, but totally obscured by the now full height rapeseed. Its the best laid plans of mice and photographers that often go astray :~)

P.P. Sky was a bit grey so removed and added Digital Film Tools 55mm Colour Grad filter. Messed around for ages to get sky colour correct around the selected flower. Thanks for looking:~)

Hi Philip
nice color Shimon

Hey philip,
i like the composition
beautiful details on the flowers

Hi Philip,
Good shot! The colours are great, and the contrast between the yellow, green and blue tones are superb, giving the photo a good effect. Lovely details. Well seen!
Claudia

Very nicely done and great story, Philip. Great colours and your work on the sky is extremelly well done as it looks fairly natural. I really like your narrow DOF and the very blurry bright yellow background. Nicely composed. Well done!

I like this shot. Beautiful colors.
Well done

Wow...it's just hypnotising!!! I just can't take my eyes of it :)

Great sharp, crisp and summery pic! Love the blurry background

Merel

Hi Philip

Stunning colours, Philip! The composition in two halves works fine, especially since you have that longer stem in the left corner. Nice one!

Merhaba Philwalters...
This place must be yellow-world... Wonderful colors and perfect contrast between the yellow and blue... Also beautiful point of view and DOF...
TFS..
Stay well..
Salim.

Great colors and very nice composition. Your POV is perfect. You placed the flower part of the left rapeseed on sky! Impressive work!
Elif

Hello Philip!

No matter the plan failed, the final result is still eye catching. Simple but effective composition, Narrow DOF, Low POV, blurred background makes this photo very pleasant to the eye.
Great idea to work the sky as you did.
Well done,
Robert

Beautiful photograph with great colors and an amuzing story to go with it.

Hi Phil, this has to be one of the best shots of oil seed rape that I have seen; I like your little story about the train.
Great idea to have just one or two in -focus plants in the f/g and the yellow field behind.
TFS, regards Jean.

Bonjour Philip;
de très jolie couleurs que nous avons là une photo de pro... juste une remarque sur la couleur du ciel qui est à mon gout trop verte ce doit être à cause de la saturation des jaune... c'est un travail remarquable félicitation et à bientôt

Hi Phil
ANother great piece of work. Sharpness and focus on the main three or 4 plants with same colors blurred in the background make for an awesome result.
Nice work

Hi Phil,

wonderful! I love this yellow dominating the image. Great view of the FG flowers with a perfect BG.

Well done!

Gio
