[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Well, I was at my friends house and I plucked a nice boquet of flowers for my mom, because I'm a good little boy. When I got home, they started to die. Bust.
The sun was setting, so I got the last one that was alive and went to my backyard to get a couple shots of it, and this was my favorite, mainly because of the lighting and the shadow against the white pillar.

PP:
Resize and increased saturation a tad

Hi Neil,
I liked the idea of this photo, with the flower withering away. I did however feel that the rule of thirds would work here. I did a quick workshop to show you what I mean.
Jako

The shadow is cute. Looks like a little face with two eyes. I like the natural lighting on the flower and hand. I think this would also look great cropped to a square. I did a workshop for you.

Hi Neil, maybe all they needed was some water?
The 2 workshops have both improved your composition by cropping off the excess space and concentrated on just the flower and its shadow, plus your fingers.
Well seen and captured, thank you,
Janice

Very nice and sharp photo Neil... the light is here just perfect...my compliments.

Johannes

Nice sharp and clear flower with great shadow effect. The WS cropping off the excess on the right have improved the overal composition a lot. Your subjec is perfect and colours are good also the skin tones on the hand. Well done.
Thanks for visiting my photo.
Cheers Joan

Hi Neil,
This is a very nice use of this lighting and the shadow. This is a great base for a greta photo. Diana (cloverstar) workshop is excellent to show you how to use a little bit of PP work to transform this. Your idea was excellent with great sharpness and colors. Well done.
Luc

great simple photo, flower nice and sharp, would have cropped mor of the right hand side out of the picture so that the flower is not too centrally placed.
