Remains of the Day. A warehouse of paints was gutted down by fire and some adjoining small shops were also feared suffered the same fate.

Here I stayed for about two hours searching for that elusive human element, but due to patience and perseverance which is already part of my system, I was able to have this photo, by the way I have used various mode in capturing the drama that woke up the entire area into oblivion.
The following morning it appeared in every newstand of the entire Emirates. (Thanks to my paper Khaleej Times)

The mind of the man is capable of anything-because everything is in it, all the past as well as the future. JOSEPH CONRAD

Very sad photograph but great journalistic shot.

Marleen

As has been said, great journalistic photo, I like the human touch you waited so patiently for. The sad scene showing the firefighter at work is done very well, good exposure with all that white/grey smoke.
