Asakusa: old time Tokyo
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Hello! This shot was taken in Tokyo in the Senso-ji temple in Asakusa.
This is an "old" and traditional part of Tokyo..the so called Shitamachi area. This temple is one of the most popular among the citizens of Tokyo and it is always happily crowded..an unforgettable experience!
In the picture you can see the five storied pagoda and a few roofs of the several structures.
In PP: crop, resize, turn BW, add old touch, change light, contrast and add a little bit of sepia filter. I added sharpness with NeatImage and a black frame.
P.S. in WS the photo I started from.

Nicely done. I like the improved comp and the B&W. You haven't completely sold me on the film grain ("old touch"), though.

Excel crop here! I like the diagonal that you created with the roofs. The addition of the grain and textures gives also a very good mood. Nice following for : Once upon has time. Bravo, you impress me! Annie
the crop is good, the grainy sepia also... A photo that makes me want to visit Japan...
Thanks : )

Hi Francesco,
Great photo. Your composition makes it timeless. I could have been taken yesterday or 200 years ago. Well done.
