Pictures of Grand Canyon are always pretty but none of them has ever done much of anything to me. But this! This is truly an exception! I think it must be because of the good point of view and the clouds. The clouds really intensify the atmosphere, they create such a powerful perspective in the picture!
I also like the way the sun shines through the clouds.
I'd love to have this picture in its original size, it must be just breath-taking.
Keep up the good work!

Welcome on board Goofy!

I wish you hours of pleasure on this site. Breathtaking panorama of the canyon here. What a view. May I propose you a WS with a few modifications. I feel your picture deserves a little more punch. I hope you will like it!
Cheers!

Hi Goofy,
This is a superb photo. Incredible how you managed to capture the shadows of the clouds over the canyon. Love this one. I have posted a few of Grand Canyon in the past. Check them out.

Hello Goofy and a warm welcome to TrekLens.
A lovely moody shot of a land mark.Great the way the light plays off the cliffs in the canyon. The grey sky creates a very moody shot.Well done. Thanks for sharing.
Best wishes from Sydney,Australia.

Hi Goofy,

The image is very good. The dappled light on the canyon has a playful, yet dramatic effect.

I like your point of view and focus. I do not particularly like the foreground, but to portray the idea of standing there, it works well.

Fuji cameras have a way of letting you down in the background. The image turns fuzzy and the camera tries to compensate by pushing the speed of the ccd and therefor they lack detail and clarity. This is, however, not your fault. I have the same problem with mine.

The Grand Canyon is in Arizona, not Colorado
