Heart of the Isthmus

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Taken around sunset looking over the highest point on the isthmus between lakes Minona and Mendota, this shot shows the State Capitol bustling with cars. I didn't have much choice in terms of shutter speed (the cars would have to be blurred) but I liked it that way as an attempt to show the bustle of downtown. It was a Sunday, so things were a little slow, but I think it turned out alright.
Photoshop: A little cropping, resizing and bordering were done. I also experimented with a "cooling" digital photo filter to try to take some of the yellow out of the trees, but I'm not sure if that came across when saved as a jpg. (I cloned out a tree the upper right corner, but that was nothing major.) |

Standard cool shot Erik. Great Exposure. Perfect as a matter of fact. I like the motion associated with the cars in the frame, it adds some action. The filter worked perfectly in taking out some of the yellow.
