[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French]
Some graves seems so old and abandonned but even after all those years someone still remember the soul that lies there and pay tribute to her through the offering a simple flower.
Although, I haven't verified myself, I was told that a fresh red carnation is brought to this grave everyday.

Good moody work from you again, Romain, I like the contrast of the flower among the stony texture. I like the out of focus block showing on the left, maybe just a bit more cropping in the lower part? Anyhow, very nice and tells a story (to me, at least).
I was at Pere Lachaise several years ago...it is really huge!

Sylvie

The red really stands out in this picture even though it's small.

Michel

Bon jour Romaine! what a wonderful composing. it makes me think about HOPE:)
in the middle of all greys... congragulations, wish you best.
peace & love...

This picture has a wonderful sense of texture about it, so much so, that the carnation is an incidental feature and as such, my inclination would be to pull back on the saturation of the flower.

If there were a bunch of carnations, then by all means let them blow and blossom, but for such a small flower, let it just be glimmering, winking almost, amidst the granite grey.
