Hi Michael
I love the texture and smoky look of your photo, nicely done.
Cheers
I can't help thinking there would have been ways to bring him out of that haze with contrast and brightness. But this is not the case.
It is a good photo the way it is

A Pro portrait, in every sense... thanx, M, (*_*)
Exellent capture. The smoke and haze is necessary to capture the mood and reality here.
A grim and realistic portrait, although I can't help thinking there would have been ways to bring him out of that haze with contrast and brightness.
It's debatable whether to do that - the haze is his context - but I think the magic of this portrait is in his eyes. There is weariness, but a tender quality too in his expression I think.
Well done, TFS.

Hi Michael, Another intense slice of life. Looks to be a demanding occupation. Well cropped and considering the smokey conditions, it has good colours and enough clarity. Well portrayed. Murray.
I think the smokyness makes the image. We are in no doubt about the working conidtions experienced by this man. I can almost smell the tar!
well done
Bev
