nice composition

Hi Hamed,

Excellent shot which was obviosuly taken in trying conditions. Good diagonals formed by the roads and the hedge and lovely selective colour. Nicely presented and TFS,
David

I like this one - a cold looking winter scene. It could almost be monochrome apart from the building at the end. Funny how winter sucks the colour out of everything.

So much snow in Tehran?
Almost like Toronto after a good one.

Hi Hamed!

First of all, thanks for all the helpful comments about my photos, I appreciate it.

To your photo... Winter photos can be very attractive and interesting, but they hide some traps as well. In this one, what slightly puts off the viewer is the muddy street. As in real life, where snow-covered trees are beautiful but the wet, muddy street is rather annoying and unattractive, so it is in the photos. I would advise you to avoid streets in your winter compositions.

Another thing to consider is the relative bleakness of the composition, perhaps because there isn't much contrast between the sky and the trees. I thought to make a workshop version in seppia, which I think can give quite interesting results when used in winter shots.
