[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Supermarine 389 Spitfire PR19 with double propeller running each their direction is a unique aircraft. This Spitfire was apperently much more stabile then the single propellers because the torque dont affect the aircraft in the same way. I dont know much about this aircraft, so if you do, please send me a note, and I will update the picture. Im not 100% sure about the cropping here. It is also a bit noisy and unsharp, I brougt it out of the shadows, so there is a lot of adjustments on this one.

Hello Joar,
You have some great aircraft images, mostly with aircrafts with some historic value... Like this one!
Didn't know this famous machine also came with a double propeller version...
This is well framed, quite good details with full zoom... Good natural colours, but maybe a tad more contrast?
Regards,
Pablo -

Lucky shot of rare modification

one of my favorite WW2 war machines, you have mentioned the problems in your note but considering the conditions, it is a good job Joar..

Composition and exposure are spot on but the lack of contrast and sharpness do let the shot down. The following is a bit of infoo about the PR19

The final version of the aircraft developed for reconnaissance duties was by general consent the best, the Spitfire PR19, and this version saw extensive service after the war in a number of theatres.

Very nice...next to the F4-U Corisar, my very favorite plane.

Well done.

We may well have been stood right next to each other when you took this shot Joar.
I will be attending this year's show, If the Brtitish weather does not get it rained off again.

Enviable shot too. It's not often they fly past top side.
good composition, good crop.

Hello,
Beautiful legendary aircraft, too bad the shot is not perfect but it's nice to see it in the air.
