[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A sparrow taken in Edinburgh. Even though it was May it was quite a chilly day and this little fellow had all his feathers fluffed up. Did not have time to faff arounf with the tripod but tried to get as much feather detail as possible. Only post processing was a slight brightening and sharpening.
Grateful for all feedback and advice.

Hi Ruth,

Lovely bird and you have captured it very well. I love the DOF and details. I can feel the coldness there by seeing the bird. I guess, colors can be improved a bit and also sharpness. I did a workshop. Hope you like it.

Hi Ruth, welcome to TL ! I actually like the muted colors, as in nature the colors are not that saturated either.

Yesterday I tried to capture images of birds... bufff Now I know that is not easy. In your case, it seems easy: nice colours, perfect background and well composed.

Welcome to TL Ruth! I think this is a great capture - beautiful detail and fine depth of field. The sparrow is very central to the frame - more pleasing if he was placed a little further to the right, but it's a minor minor point.
