My first submission to TrekLens.
A warm wet rainy day in Montmartre Paris, summer 06.
Gary looking ravishing (detective stylie) in his new head gear, and soggy wet jacket & jeans. Posing infront of a shop doorway. Nice large door / step & chunky wall background. Photo converted to B&W using Adobe Photoshop, which i think adds a grainy vintage feel to the image. Slightly blurry due to up close zoom.
I have this photo blown up to small poster size, framed and hung up on my bedroom wall ;o) Nice!
ADDITIONAL NOTE: This is actually a photo of a photo so the original is sharper, and somewhat more focused. Though I kinda like this soft focus, it lends a romantic feel to the image. I'm wanting a scanner, so i'll post the original when i eventually get one. Sx |

Hello Suzy! Welcome to TL! I like your photo very much! It is maybe a little bit out of focus but the composition is very good and your model is great, very photogenic! I did a workshop for you adding a little bit of sharpening and doing a transfer to sepia just for the fun of it! Best regards! Michel

Good composition and POV.I like the black & white. Cool looking guy.
If you take away knowing Gary and his modern day clothes, you could imagine a gangsta stylie thing going on.
I hear him say, in a NY accent "riyde here. I god him, He fell to the Floowr. Heavy too. Now officer, do you led me gow or do ya charge me for my criyme?"
Hahahaha.
gangsta Gaz. hahaha.

Hi Suze,
First welcome to TL : )
I prefer the b&w version, it gives an old like atmosphere to the photo and the scene... I hear jazz music when I look at it. I don't mind if this is very sharp, it adds a lot to the photo.
Fred
