My friend Claudia with her big smile!

Most of the times I use this tecnic that it's very usefull when you want to be able to change anytime the work that you are doing at the photo. If you work directly on the photo you have to undo always if you want to change something. With this way you just go to the layers and their adjustments.

I used to BW:
1) New adjustment layer - Hue/Saturation - don't do anything in the values;
2) New adjustment layer - Hue/Saturation - saturation (-100)
3) Then I changed some values on the color channels of the first layer, to see the effects on BW photo now;
3) New adjustment layer - levels - small adjustment
4) New adjustment layer - brightness/contrast - I add a little contrast.

You can keep the file psd and change the settings anytime, because they are always at te layers.

:)

Hi Filipa
A truly gorgeous portrait. The composition is excellent, the DOF and sharpness are great. As much as I like that big empty space to the left, the white gate is a distraction and should be dealt with. ;) But the naturalness and the big smile of this make it beautiful.
I absolutely agree with your PP recommendations.

hi filipa,
i like her expression and very informative on pp treatment. since the left side is washed out and blurred beyond recognition, don't you think it would be nice if we crop it? just a thought. tfs.
