[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
An Aviation Boatswain's Mate directs an CH-46 helicopter while two aviation ordnancemen (red shirts) hook ordnance to the helicopter during an ammunition transfer between USS Enterprise (CVN 65) and USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). All the metal can have ammiuntion in them. Since it is a post- process I decided to put this military picture here on TL as opposed to TE.

I made a WS to show you the original.

PS7 - I made a Duplicate Layer of the original image desaturated it and I brought out the different color shirts to make your eye look that them as opposed to the helo. I cropped this shot and resized it.

You're getting better and better at this! There is so much in this, the lines formed by what look like the ammo crates, the perspective of the "runway", the Boatswain looking like a conductor and the action of the rotars, fantastic desaturation work. Even the two people in the middle make the shot interesting. Very well done on this Dave!

Again one of your exciting scenes, Dave. In addition to the dynamics of the moment as such, I like your post-processing. There are certainly multiple options on where to keep color and which parts to desaturate - your choice of keeping the color in the "human element" is one I like a lot. Well done.

I like the synergy between the boatswain's mate and the helicopter. The perspective generated by them is enhanced by the boxes perspective as well. I looked at your original. Your PP work has really been a good choice. It helps to lead the eye on the scene, just by the colors. Very attractive image.

Dave, I like your pp work here. Glad to finally see a military photo here on TL as well. Great action shot! God's best, Tim

A great composition, Dave. The desaturation helps balance the picture - the original pulls in too many directions - and your cropping tight to the "runway" (or is it "catwalk"?) helps enhance the main actors. Perfect exposure-time for the blurred rotators. Well done - excellent post-pro.

dave this ws is excellent! i love to see that ; contrasts of color vs b&w enhance the shot ;-) this one is great! bravo!

Very nice photo Dave. I like the PP. It's a nice military composition.

Excellent work as usual! I'm still not too keen on selective desaturation, but it's effective at isolating the people at work here. I prefer your choice of crop in this version though, it definitely enhances the composition IMO. I really like the feeling of motion you've captured with those rotor blades! Well captured :-D

So beautiful, Dave!
it seems the guy in the foreground is dancing. elegant position he has.
very nice pp as well.
one of my fav!

The saturation of the man to the right shows great deatail and he really sticks out,but for some reason I can't take my eye's off the helicoptor. Very well done.

Perfect ! Itīs a great compositon !
Congratulations !

This is great. Really great. PP is very well-done an dthe action is very rare. Great shot!

Great action shot! The POV as an observer behind the boatswain and the overall compo is well choosen. I like the slightly dramatic tilt the chopper has and the blurred rotators. great shot.

Exciting, active image, Dave. I love the composition--it's well balanced and full of interesting things to see while really emphasizing the simple figures of man and heli. Nice work.

Another "air" great photo Dave.

I like this accion shot and select desature.

Well done

This is a beautiful shot Dave. I love the effect the desaturation has here, makes it a very powerful image. Very well done.

An excellent framing with a very interesting perspective, working the colors very was well made giving to this surrounding magnifico the photo, Adored.

My brother will love this shot since he is trying to make his way to helicopter flight school. The color brought back out are very effective here. I like the cropping and composition.

all the moment gave us a tensile force ,great work ,Dave!
the composition created the exaggerative posture of the man in yellow, and the strange proportion made the helicopter the character of the view~but the men in red in the background seemed better to be cropped or desaturated....
cheers,
xu
