Wonderful setting, but to be picky, the shot would be a lot stronger if the child was at least half way up and dominating the pic more. Could also do with more contrast and a small bag of grain or more.
As for the foot, its gotta go. For now you've only left it there because you've said, 'oh look, its my foot.'

I like the composition with the lines of light and woods. I like the different directions (perpendicular) that the lines take in the scene.

I like this photo too. B&W is a good choice. Ideally, the foot wouldn't be there, but it is, and that's life. Nice job.
