[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was mostly created in Photoshop, but I started with film taking a picture of myself in front of my computer. I had tacked up some large pieces of paper on the wall behind the computer to help create the background I had in mind.

Once I got the picture developed and scanned onto the computer I started to go to work on the computer screen behind me. I wanted to give the impression that the image the camera was seeing was being seen by the computer at the same time. I selected a shape of the original image and copied it. After pasting it back in as a new layer I then manipulated it to give it a more screenlike look and fit it into the computer screen behind me. The view on the screen now had a blank screen included in it which I had to manipulate in a similiar fashion, and then do it again.

I then went to work on getting the original image of me onto the pieces of paper hung behind the computer. Finally I adjusted my eye to red to give myself an even more evil look, and then adjusted the entire flattened image to give it a more on screen look (back then you did not have the same quality moniters that are available now) The very last thing was for a bit of text "Welcome to cyberspace" on the first moniter screen.

This was done at a time when Photoshop was starting to get popular and many photographers criticized digital imaging as being some form of corruption to the art of photography.

Very good!!! Intensive stare...
Cleverly done, good work with colors too!

It would have been nice though if you did repeat the red eye too, but thats minor.

This is very good. It is unique, and your post processing work is excellent.

Very cool, I think the grain gives it a good mood.

Interesting shot, good effect with the computer. Great work!

nice shot! I like what you have done, very original , nice portrait of yourself..I think of doing that at other medium ...TFS!

Some photographers still do, David. I think there always be 'purists' but in the meantime we're having fun, right ?

I love this one too, great creativity and good note
