Two minutes after posting, I just saw the post and there is a huge loss of quality. in the original (300 dpi, 15x15 inches) everything is razor sharp.
I am fascinated by repeating patters such as those in kaleidoscopes, and mandalas. I have been toying with the idea of imitating those repeating patterns with some bits and peieces of my photos. On July 22nd as i sat reviewing some photos I received the news my favorite uncle passed away. I remained at the computer and began mindlessly cutting and pasting photo parts. Slowly this emerged quite effortless.
Most of the photos were taken in Pacifica Claifornia, on the sky portion the little colored flecks are hang gliders. It's been a while since I have been active in treklens, but I check the postings and forums to keep informed how everyone is doing and to receive inspiration from your photos.
The construction of this first I made circle cut it in to a pie wedge and the porceeded to apply bits of photos in countless layers (it was more complicated than just throwing thisngs together as i wanted certain things to be stronger elements). When the wedge was done I then flatten all the layers, made a mirror copy of it, created more layers and worked them into matching with each other, (this was the most difficult step. Added a background.
Davide was my uncle's name and he was a brilliant mathematiccian and a lover of all natural beauty he died 2 days after his 87th birthday. |

Hi Cristina,
Very good HPP photo even though you said you've lose some of the sharpness. The hard work paid off. I must learn doing things like this now in my photo editing software. I don't know if I am as patient as you are though. Well done
Hi Cristina,
Nice PP works. Very creative.
