Hello TL-friends,

Because of 4 weeks holiday and the death of my mom, I wasn’t with my minds with TL. I still have days I’m not feeling good, so it can be I’m only sometimes on TL.

When my mom was alive, she always wanted to light up a candle when she was on holiday and she saw a church or chapel.

I was not like that, but when she died I also sometimes burn a candle. Also when we were a few days in Germany, two weeks ago. We should have go there with my parents, but my mom died two weeks before, so I was only with my kids and Monique to the Moezel river in Germany.

One day we went by boat to the small village Bernkastel (the village where my mother really would go). And there, in an old church I burned a candle for my mother. When I was sitting there and I looked to the left I saw the window with roses beneath and the light shining through that window. I liked that smooth and peaceful sight so I took a picture.

Because the walls were a bit grey the picture was not a warm picture to watch, so in psp I coloured the picture and gave some parts more or less brightness and contrast (mostly I only use brightness and contrast). I think there is a smooth “feeling” in the picture now. In workshop is the original one.

I hope you like the picture.

Best regards,

Don

Hi Don,

Very sorry to read that sad news. Great tendereness and mood in your composition. Your note is a great tribute to your mother.
Take care of yourself and your family for the moment. Whenever you will be ready to post again, we will still be there.
Sincerely,

Hello Don, I am so sorry to read the sad news. I offer you my support.

I love the warmth you brought here in your pp.

this is a beautiful tribute to your mom! Take care. Yan :)
ps: here is the smiley.

Hallo Don.

Groet Frans

Hi Don

Hang in there! Life will slowly return to normal for you within a year. After the shock, anger, grief, guilt, detective work on what caused the demise, & the depression phases, comes resolution & moving on. You'll make it through!

Very thoughtful tribute to your mother Don.. peaceful..
