| This was taken on a visit to Japan in 2005 - it was taken at celebrations for the Star Festival. It was just one of those lucky moments when you allow yourself to stop a moment and take a picture. |

Hi Ashlee, welcome to TL, hope you enjoy your stay here. Knowing how difficult it is to take night shots with intense light, you have managed the lighting and everything quite well. I guess you didn't use a tripod here.. well done. I like the colours and action. Thanks for sharing (TFS). Regards Tim.

nice work, different hands say different things about different individuals whom we dont see in this photo.. and we don't need to either, what we see is a union of people and a sense of celebration..i myself like to anticipate moments and hit it when you know its finally arrived.. i believe not all photos should be 'studio'like shots.. sharp and edgy...no!! instead, i like photos with motion, with a sense of thrill, something which gives you a feeling of having been a witness to that moment.. keep up the good work!
Hi Ashlee,
Nice spontanious photo. There is a nive variety of colours in the smoke too.
Would be nive if the background was completely black though.
Well done,
Jako
Well anticipated, well done I like the idea behind here, cheers Ashlee.
Thanks/Salamat,
Jeffrey

this is realy nice
we have one day in our country for playing with fire
When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was going to be a night-time volcano shot! Silly me! Nice effort in any case!
Nice catch! really like the colors! Welcome to TL!
