[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
do you know the American painter richard diebenkorn? I very much like his paintings since they are a tightrope walk between representational and abstract art (many are plain abstract, though).

I shot this -nearly- abstract picture in the cityhall of Castiglione Olona, a once wealthy and rich place in Varesotto, Northern Italy.
the entrance hall has seen many layers of paint -the latest (not very recent though) in turquoise green.

It makes a lovy contrast with the siena red of at the bottom and the light bulb reminds you that this is actually a wall and not an abstract painting.

Hope you enjoy!

I Agree this is similar to Diebenkorn, his early and then later stuff I believe. he did figurative in between(not as good). but back to the image at hand. This is like color field with some action painting on top and like you said the light bulb brings you back to reality. I catch myself seeing abstract paintings in the random world and capturing them on my camera as well. I am jealous that you got this one first. Thanks for this one.

I like the colours and textures in this one. I hope you don't mind, I've tried a workshop, cropping it to focus more on the light. Nice photo.
