 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Hi my dear friends,
Thanks a lot for your kindness on my works,
& many thanks for your beautiful critiques,
In continue of "My Sky..." serie,I uploaded another sunset taken from my home,
I took this today, about two or three hours later,
And changed it with PS by:
-resizing,
-reducing noise,
-changing brightness levels by "levels",
-changing saturation by "Hue/saturation",
-making it more yellow and red by "variations",
-icreasing contrast +15 by "brightness/contrast",
-making some changes in blues and especially reds by "selective color",
-cropping in a wide form,
-making shadows more dark with "burn" tool for more volume,
-also making bright points more light,
-some little color changes by brush tool on the sky,
-making border,
-placing signature,
To all you my dear friends,
I wish you like it,
Many thanks for reading my note, and your critiques,
Every viewer is my friend,
& every critique is welcome
(A neat image of this posted by my dear friend Robert Calve)
Be happy...

I have to agree with Robert that this is not the best of the series on your sky, Ali. I do like the composition with the ray of the sun coming out of the dark clouds - very spiritual image. But you either did too much work on this one as it seems to have lost some details or the definition was not as good to start with.
By the way, I noticed that you always resize first in your PP steps and I am wondering if you should not do all of your work on the high resolution version and then resize it. I don't know if that would make a difference or not. I know that I normally always do my PP work on the full size version as I also like to keep them reworked in full size in case I want to print them but I also keep the original in case I want to do something else with it. I hope that this helps.

Hi Ali
You like to take sunsets whereas I take the sunrise. Either way this is certainly when the light is at its most dramatic. This is a bit OE but the colours and light rays are lovely

Beautifull sky , clouds and sunrays. I think it seems a bit noisy , other than that , nice shot. TFS, Giap.
Hello Ali!
I am afraid this one is a bit too noisy and overexposed to enjoy it IMHO. I worked a little WS. I will need to wait til Wednesday to post it however. I hope you will find it constructive, and you will like it.
Cheers!
Robert

Hi Ali, I like Robert's PP work of this exciting sunset. And it is good to read Tintin's notes too. I usually resize after working on my photos, and before I do a final Unsharp Mask sharpening on it. But not always, so I have taken note of her suggestion and will try and do it all the time now!
The colours are great, TFS
