[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi all,
OK first off, I know last night I said I was going to post a photo to go with the previous post, but I have been trying to get this shot right for the last two nights and when I did I couldn't help but upload! Right this is slightly unconventional I know, but I felt like experimenting, something I haven't done in a while. I wanted to get as much of it right in-camera so it took very much trial and error, especially as I was using my 90mm macro lens at arms length, to get the DoF.

PP- Nothing in rawshooter this time (For the first time I took a test shot of some white card to get white balance right in-camera), but in PhotoShop I adjusted levels, dodged/burnt, added the noise (also a first for me), framed etc.

I am still quite undecided as to how much I like it. One minute I do and the next I don't. Oh yes, and it was inspired by "Rooftops" by Lostprophets.

"When our time is up,
When our lives are done,
Will we say we've had our fun?

Will we make a mark?
this time...
Will we always say we tried?

Standing on the rooftops,
Everybody scream your heart out.
Standing on the rooftops,
Everybody scream your heart out.
Standing on the rooftops,
Wait until the bombs drop.
This is all we got now,
Scream until your heart stops."

Hope you like this,
Jako

PS- Don't get worried dad, like I said I just wanted to experiment ;p

1. Lost Prophets, thumbs up on that!
2. The details, now, I could say 'wow' but... it just doesn't seem to cut it. I think the world WOWTASTIC seems to cut it. :)
3. The black and white, and the 'burnt' effect on the image seem to really just finish it off, not to mention the great effect that thick black frame has on the image, it really focuses our attention.
4. Jako, I've said it before, and I may as well say it again, please! take photography seriously, this talent of yours is beyond words, I can never expect what you'll be posting next!

Goooooood stuff.

Biance.

Hi Jako,
I really like it, though i can't tell exactly why... I love that it's unconventional. Excellent note with details as always :) Think the experiment has succeeded!
