Just did a little experiment on shooting product that fades into dark. My model, my first digital camera the Kodak Dx7590… I used a black cloth and covered the whole set up…
Let little ambient light peep in on a desired amount. Set my camera to a long exposure…
No adjustment on the image, only a minor retouch on the reflection on the shutter button.
The border is 100% photoshop image. Experiment with blending options (mostly “bevel and embossed” and “shadows”) to make a 3D effects. Use gradients and layer modes for the light and shadow effects. |
