Hmm, very nice, especially with the detail on the had and the softness on the face. Nice crop too, close but not too close, I seem to get them too close too often, good to see one that looks good.

B&W is good for this, but it will be interesting to the the colour if you have it kicking around.

I think I will have to wait for the colour version,the shot is great and Kim is going to take her place nicely but to me there is too much blackness and cant see the detail on it on the right side. Ah well I guess I am just more at home with colour. TFS

Great B/W work, good crop and details. In art, I often switch to pen from brushes, I find it easier to let creativity take me places without worrying about colors.

Nice portrait, Rew. I like the B&W much more than the color. But the B&W has a band of shadow across the eyes that you don't see on the color. Maybe if you picked up the luminance a little, but I don't know if you'd risk overexposing the cheeks that way. Digital B&W still has a long way to go before it equals film. But I like the tone and detail of her hat. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Rew,
I like this fascinating picture of Kim. Due to the shaddow of the hat makes you wonder as viewer how are the eyes. So there is a certain tension in this shot. Very well done Rew and TFS!

As a first attempt into B&W I think you've done this really well, I think the tones you have achieved in the skin are spot on and the contrast isn't overpowering. Like the close in composition and crop as well.

looked at the color version , i liked it but my vote is still for this b/w version. the reason is the texture and the details in this version. also the mood in this version is more dominant.
