Nice shot. I think it would look great just black-and-white (as it already is pretty much that). It is kind of like in Hitchcock's "The Birds". Nicely noticed. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, the birds are so equally spaced :-) I like diagonal composition, the crane looks like without beginning and end. And birds everywhere of course :-)
This is a great shot. I saw an almost identical scene coming home from hospital yesterday and wished I had my camera (a rare time I did not) What I find most interesting is that almost ALL the birds are facing in the same direction. This will hold true in all situations where they are perched together like this. Interesting, huh? Great composition and welcome to Treklens.....:O)
