Lost my seeds
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note [French] |
Here is a macro of a "pissenlit" (dandelion?) who lost its seeds, blowed by the wind. I wished I could get some more DOF... I think I still need to experiment... I did about 100 shots yesterday (only macros), but didn't get really good results.
Being near the subject (about 30 cm) with my Nikkor 105mm macro, F11 was not enough to get more DOF. Any advises will be appreciated. |

I'm not sure of if i think you should have more DoF Isabelle. The ground in the foreground may become distractng then. If you want to have more DoF, IMHO it should only be so that the whole Dandelion is in Focus. I like the way the dandelion stand out frrather sharp. I like the tiny seeds that are still hagning in there too, sharp as well. Very well done.
Very nice photo Isabelle. I like the dandelion. It's very beautiful. The photo is very good but, i agree with you, with more DOF the photo would be excellent.
Isabelle, this is really a great shot, don't be so hard on yourself, 1/100 seems like a good ratio ;-))
The detail of the dandelion is really excellent, the few remaining seeds attached to it make the shot very interesting, it looks more like a squid or jellyfish that has been washed up on the shore.
Great shot, I am not really a technical fundi when it comes to DOF, but it looks fine to me as it is.
Lovely composition and presentation.

Sad in a way, especially with the title. Very well shot though Isabelle. Perfect DOF and very interesting angle.
