[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Seeing that there's a little lift/elevator theme going on, here's my little compilation of some of my pictures on the subject, as it's very close to heart!

My dad worked in the industry all his life, right until he died three years ago next month, (that's him in three of the pictures, along with his great friend Ian, who sadly also passed away just a month after from cancer.)

I worked with him too, as his 'sidekick', we travelled all over the country, servicing old lifts and commisioning new ones, so we've certainly seen huge advancements in the technology, from the very old mechanical relays in the bottom image, to the latest full microprocessor boards of today.

Great compilation and elevator-style framing. Images are nicly different and tell a story. Great job.

First of all I think this is a very nice tribute to your Dad and his friend.

Excellent compilation of photos. I noticed the Wadsworth one only allowing 4 persons. Very antique lift. I like the way you also included the sign, and the weight capacity ones as those make the collage really interesting. The metal framing with the buttons is superb Mike. Great work and very informative photos. I've always wondered what goes on behind the scene of lifts.

after read your notes ,Michael,i believe all these photos have already planted in your heart, they are the key to the memory...
very original idea to put these photos into the box, like the buttons in the elevators,
interesting work,cheers,
xu

Hi Michael
A humand and loving history. Great tribute to your father. The theme is very well presented and do not say anything about present, what is convenient for reason all can guess.
Thank you very much.
