Im sittin in the railway station
Got a ticket for my destination
On a tour of one night stands
My suitcase and guitar in hand
And every stop is neatly planned
For a poet and a one man band

Paul Simon actualy wrote the song Homeward Bound at Widnes railway station only 10miles down the track from this station (Liverpool Lime Steet)

Hi,
Very Nice shot, well done, it's remaining me on of mine.Light and composition are exellent
BravO.

hi Ron,
this is a great shot. In the first place, I like night/ low light shots.
Then i think this one here is special because it's been (bravely!) presented in b/w (nice!) and;

Composition-wise, the perspective is cracking! Check out the fore-shortening on the bench.
The train itself (just like other visual elements here) provides a good lead-in.

Finally, motion blur on the people, this is very appropriate - thanks also in no small part to great focus achieved in the rest of the image.

Conclusion: A super effort.
Best regards, Daniel

It takes an unusually good photographer to take something as simple as a railway station platform and turn it into a photograph that is full of impact and engaging for the viewer.

I am greatly impressed with what I've seen of your B+W work, this is your strength. Thanks for sharing!

hi ron, excellent capture and framing of the shot. angle gives a great view of the platform. looks great in B/W. also agree with daniel, motion blur of the people enhanced the overall composition of the shot. bravo! :)
