It's been quite a while since I posted to TL and along the same lines it has been quite a while since I saw this little guy hanging around my house. Quite literally 'hanging'. And actually this is not the same cat-faced spider that was around my doorbell last year. It must be one of it's children. Much to my wife's dismay it has become one of our pets. I let him stay there in exchange for cleaning up the little flies that come around the porch. Check out his mom/dad in my earlier photos.
I cheated a little on this one and flipped the picture over to point him/her up, not down. It was more effective to me. I also adjusted the contrast to bring out the shadow a little. Was it a good idea or should I try to knock out the shadow?
By the way, s/he is only a little bigger than a US quarter. |

Wow, nice shot Aaron. I wonder if you could have captured more of the web, it kinda disappears against the background. I am glad that your family adopted this little guy for your pet.

creepy ( i hate spiders!) however, nice comp, good clarity ,good depth, good work, thanks scott
Hi Aaron. Like the pic, but I'm oop today. I think the shadow was a little heavy here, but that's just my opin. Nice framing to bring out the cat-face's colors, LOL. I saw that after I read the note :) I think the up-pointing worked out great, we'd never know if you didn't say without a point of reference.
