[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Took another shot of this old bridge for the scavenger hunt so I'm interrupting my 'duck series.' Now I just have to figure out how to get them in the scavenger hunt.

Took in the evening rather than midday like last time. Used the point/shoot this time for comparison later.

PP: Crop and size, slight brightening.

Hey Gary!
Now I know there are plenty of those covered bridges in the world, unlike here in Poland, we rather do not have them...
About ducks - you could arrange them in a nice line and make 'repetition'. Or something for 'dinner' :) OK, I was just joking:)

Regards
Seb

Sentimental journey. I imagine there are not too many of these covered bridges around anymore. A slice of history, well captured, colors, pov great eyelead through to the road beyond.
Cheers
Otto

Hi Gary
it's a nice shot
you took it well , if you want , you can increase contrast a little .
Have a good time

Hi Gary,
I prefer this one of the previous. The view is superb, especially how the road takes you further into the photo. Great fall colors and a great photo for the scav. hunt.

Niek

Hi Gary...we dont have covered bridges here either, some old ones but none like this. Lovely composition with the bridge leading to the road curving beyond. Good colour and light and TFS,

Lovely composition and some nice details captured - nice picture.
By the way, I like your duck series, it actually inspired me for my entry for i

Thanks for sharing

there was a clint eastwood film about surveying the bridges...somewhere in the southwest..
this reminds me of it..a bit more gamma would lift the bridge a bit even though you lost the tonality of the background
its a icon of a shot for tennessee and thereabouts country life...the surrey with the pair and fringe going to the meeting house..god i have watched too many movies..:)
thanks for a breath of the days of old

Hello Gary,
Those covered bridges are such fascinating constructions! And I have no idea why they did it...
Autumn colours are very evident in this fine composition!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Good contrast with the colors of the shinning sun in the background and the darker shaded covered bridge. We can still see nice details of the bridge without over-exposing the background. There is also this nice uphill road on the right of the picture that gives deapt to this picture. To bad for the electric wires, but it's not that distracting.

PC :)

Bonjour,
les couleurs sont chaudes surtout aprés workshop,
l'angle est parfais, cela donne un effet de prolongement au chemin.
Amitiés.
Jacques.

Nice old bridge Gary. Good use of the road leading the eye around the frame. You might be able to crop out a bit of the top for a more dynamic composition. I read somewhere that any element in a composition that doesn't add to it, detracts from it.

Regards,
Joe

Very nicely captured, Gary, showing the nice curves on teh side of the bridge. We do still have a few of them in Canada but they are slowly disappearing through fire, unkept and other reasons and it is very sad as I find them very attractive. I have to agree with Joe that the top could be cropped out to eliminate the one tiny bit of branches with leaves coming out of the left corner and it might need a bit of level ajustment to brigthened a bit. But it is just me being nit-picky as this is a nice addition to the Scavenger Hunt of old bridges. Well done!

It's always rare to find these old covered bridges. I photographed one in Georgia recently. Love the Fall color in the background. You might try to enhance the shadows some. Nice composition.

Hi Gary!
Northen hemisphere is gradually conquered by autumn. Beautiful trees give prolific food for our eager cameras. Especially when weather is as fine as on your pic. See my prposal in ws.
Thanks!
Anton

Hi Gary,
this old coverd bridge is wonderful. I love the POV, the lovely autumn leafes in the BG give off a wondeful warm glow. Very nice composition.
Sky

Hey Gary. Nice shot. The bridge first appears to be a little underexposed with a few dark shadows, but I really like how the background trees are well it by the sun. A very nice composition. Nice work.

hello Gary,
this looks like a foor bridge to a lovely autumn walk.
Bev

Nice one Gary, I love your Bridge, why did the cover them? perhaps for the snow time so that they remained clear? or was it just for romance!.
Good POV good DOF and taking it on a whole a very nice photo.
Well worth my two points.
Kind Regards
Donald

Hi Gary

Nice colors and POV. For such a long exposure (30 seconds), it might provide increased sharpness and DOF if you had a smaller aperture (maybe something like F16). Don't know if your camera allows you to adjust or not...

Very nice picture. I like covered bridges. Thanks for sharing.
