This is the newst brand of vodka, that appeared on the Bulgarian market. The name is "The Spirit of Mary Jane"...
I wonder where they will end up in their craziness...
The producers stated that the name has the meaning of being a flag in anti-drug campain and is supposed to prevent young people /mostly in teen age/ of getting addicted to drugs...
Actually it sounded very stupid to me - it is the same to say, that you are going to scare a dog with a stick of salami.
I thought they will stop the massive advertisment on TV, but they not only didn't stop it, but this is the bottle of it, standidng smartly among the other brands on the stand of a supermarket...
I was tempted to take my camera out and make a shot. While doing it the guard asked me if I have a permission. I asked for what - it is for sale and is not a secret. And of course showed him the ready picture - only of that bottle, without the price of it included below it. He relaxed and disappeared. So, you can view it now too.
I am still with very mixed feelings about it...

pp: cleared, sharpened, cropped, resized. The bottle is made of frost glass - this is the reason it doesn't look shiny.

Interesting subject and the colours are nice blends of green and yellow shades. I quite agree that the marketing idea of this product being a flag for the "anti-drug" campaign is utterly stupid. What do they think alcohol is? Nothing wrong with a quiet drink or two, but to say it is an answer to drug addiction is completely dumb.
Anyway, good note and nice shot.

I read about this and I heard this name when the Russian were in our neighboring country but when one have not this stuff he can't imagine about but like me I've not tasted alcohol in my 54 years of life but they when drink in movies and the gesture they show that I can imagine that this tastes like vinegar very strong and sharp might my this statement make some one laugh but same that I never slept with any lady but my wife and I know this will make double laugh.

How preposterous indeed to have this be the "flagship" product against drug addiction - it's like fighting fire with fire, or as you put it, "trying to scare off a dog with salami" ... This posting is a great example where the combination of picture and note excels in providing a meaningful statement. Well done, Maria.

Yes - this seams to be a problem world wide - Here the producers has gone even further - they take the vodka - mix it with a soft drink so it holds 5% spirit and finally they put it in a funny colourful bottle - and put a little sign "Only for adult" on.

Also thanks for your note Maria - I got your points and like the one with scaring the dog.

It is not only preposterous and stupid, on top of that it is dangerous.
The picture is very nioce with beautiful soft colors.

Yes, very crazy Maria! I read your story and thatīs the way it works, people are more interested in making money so they do this kind of marketing! You took a great shot, showing the details of the bottle, this almost could work as marketing picture if it wasnīt about MAry Jane we were talking about!

Well done

Nice capture Maria. Very interesting note too. Pretty amazing stuff. Good work here.

Nice, grainy picture of the bottle, tighly cropped, the frame fits very well with. your notes are very good, and I'm glad I can rate notes nowadays. I like to read something about a picutre, or the thoughts behind it. Well done

This pix Maria, is not clear - while your notes is crystal clear..
Interesting ;-)

We live in a "Crazy mixed up World!"
Another great composition from you Maria, I particularly like the green frosted colours here, the grain is great and adds to the overall greatness of the image.
Good work, well done.
