Eine Schweinshaxe auf Sauerkraut, yummy!
Fehlt nur noch die Brezel dazu - die extragroße für die ganze Familie ;-)
Zu Deinem Rezept würde ich noch Kümmel dazugeben, dann ist es perfekt. Versteht man in Canada oder Amerika "Sauerkraut"?
Ich war mal in Colorado - da haben sie auch ein Oktoberfest "zelebriert", es war zum schießen komisch, sorry - aber was da manche unter bayerischem Essen verstehen ist für einen Bayern haarsträubend ;-(

Hello Sky,
I bet the sauerkraut will be tasty the way you prepare it, with addition of smoked meat!
We have an equivalent in Norway (surkål), it is cooked a bit differently but basically the same!

Looks delicious! Only needs some wine in the glass! Well presented photo. I like to do a pork roast & sauerkraut in the slow cooker then near the end of the cooking add some of my wifes drop noodles. Her noodles is one thing she cooks better than me. Serve this with thick mashed potatoes, good crusty bread & lots of butter with some good wine or cold beer for a fine meal. Don
