[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Last Friday I went for a walk with a co-worker of mine, in a park near our workspace. We took advantage of the fine weather to see what we could capture, and how we differ in viewing the same subjects.

This is my entry in the Repetition item of the current SH. Lots of repetitions can be seen in the shot... but also many differences ;o).

These three appartment blocks represent three stages of maintenance: the front one still is as it was originally built, the middle one is currently being stripped to its concrete skeleton, after which it will be renovated so as to look like the farthest block, which was completed last year.

On the right you may have spotted an "I" too: the chimney of the incinerator facility that will provide the heating for the three blocks. It is as tall as the blocks themselves...

Tech talk

Composition made in-camera, applied neither straightening nor croppity-crop...

Cloned out a bright red life saver. Not shown here, there's a pond near the bottom edge of the picture.

Downsized for TL as I always do (and it works equally nice in PSE 4 than it does in MS DIP 2006): resolution » 1200 dpi, width from 3438 » 2200 » 1200 » 800 pixels, USM 80 %, 0.3, 0, resolution » 96 dpi.

Tried to add Frank's framing... but that's quite impossible in PSE 4. (Or rather, I still haven't figured it out ;o))

Just as nice without a frame anyway I think Frank. Excellent capture, superb detail, lots of repetitions and it looked like a nice day for a stroll. No Dingo though, I am disappointed. TFS,
David

an interesting concept for the SH, the comp and colours are good, very nice light, well done, M, (*_*)

Gelukkig is er nog een park.Zeer mooie
heldere opname!

Salut Frank,
Voici une excellente entrée pour le scav des I répétitifs (meme le centre des édifices me fait penser a un i) quoi demander de mieux... J'aime bien ton point de vue avec les arbres en avant plan.
Très bien réussi,
Luc

Very nice shot Frank. I like the geometric shapes you catched.

Hi Frank, you have a very clear and sharp image here, The buildings, yes, are very repetitive, and I see the "I" too. The trees and lawn make the scene very pleasant and inviting. TFS
Janice

Ok you find a I and Repetition and repetition and repetition. I find too it's funny cause we have the feeling the I pole structure is a little tired and put the top of it's crane on the roof to relax a while....

Hi Frank,

Looks like you "scored" well with this photo! Lots of repetitions & of course, a big "I" which stands out like a sore thumb! :)) Nice warm lighting & contrast.

Well seen & composed
Constantinos
