Hi Neil,
A warm welcome to TL. Hope you spend hours of happy snapping with your D80. I also had to upgrade and had to choose between the D80 and the Canon 400D. I received my Canon earlier this week. (Both excl camera's.)
You photo is breathtaking! Perfect timing and colours to please the eye.

Wow, stunning photo.

I was in PE this weekend shooting drag races at scrabante race course. Gee it was hot, funny weather with the wind etc.

Good capture. Well composed image. Nice blend of colours and tones. Well done. In his WS, Perryhooter introduced more detail in the foreground and gave it an new dimension. Did you think it was useful?

When my camera was in repair for more then 2 month I was handed the cheapest 3 megapixels Canon Powershot as temporarily replacement - and all this with a grand gesture - However, it turned out that that small camera did a really good job (and is much easier to take along for me).
Love what you captured - you are still the one to be there and see this and then capture it to share. Lovely work and TFS
I hope the game drive was just as enjoyable!
