About 5,
during a storm I was watching tv and I looked out the window, I saw this rushed down the stairs and turned my camera on, it was such low light that everything was blurry so I put my camera on my tripod and took a few shots till it came out right, I cropped it alittle for more effect. Almost no work on the contrast.
The wind made the trees look alittle blurry but I think for this photo it's okay. |

The colors realy give this a certain mood. I like the wispy quality. The shutter speed was quite appropriate for this. The composition feels unbalanced to me, but its the colors and shapes that matter here.
I'll have to disagree with 'wayne' I think the composition is perfectly balanced... especially when you consider the colours/shutter effect... it sort of reminds me of a photo that's been printed and then someone tossed water onto it... aka this watery effect, looks stunning. Or! It could be a drunk's vision while wandering home after the sun's set.
Whatever, doesn't matter- this just looks great. Unique sums it up.
Biance.
hey Colin,
the composition here is very good. The image also has very good character and lighting.
Nice long exposure. I read your note and can therefore excuse/appreciate the slight blurry (or "soft" focus) feel.
Well done.
Best regards, Daniel
