Another Autumn Leaf
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This was taken on a recent overnight trip to Pitlochry. The weather wasn't the best, but we still got to see some gorgeous scenery, what with the leaves so many different colours. This was one of several leaves on a pathway near to the Queen's View at Loch Tummel.
I had seen a few nice leaf shots today and decided to try one of my own.
I extracted the luminosity channel, then in Cinepaint I applied a modified S-curve, a purple-ish Duotone layer and then flattened. Finally I altered the curve for the blue channel, bringing blue tones to the shadows and yellow tones the highlights. Resize and sharpen.

Great shot, I love the polarized view of it. Keep it up.

Very nice treatment of the leaves against the charcoal background of the gravel. The top leaf seems to me almost reflecting the sky. Beautiful!
cheers,
