a hard frost left everything covered in a sugar coating of ice and this flower seemed more beautiful for it. macro setting on auto and cropped.

Hello Sue,
It is indeed beautiful flower, only thing I think it would be better focused if you were using manual focus, as that tip with frost on it would be clearer,anyway very good macro.

far too sharp...:)

i am looking at this..and mine on a different pc...with a lcd monitor...and find you are right..sort of crash sharpness
i do tend to oversharpen and can learn from your useful critique
as for olympus lenses oversharpening..you could have a point there since the canon versus nikon brigade used to slag each others lenses..and canon got the 'soft' option...
god bless..and keep your woolies on ..more ice to follow..did you see the early red berries...that means a hard winter..

Nice composition and colours. Focus seems a bit off, with the bottom petal being blurred but still a nice shot

What a beauty! Have you noticed that sugar and frost look very similar? Sugar og frost?
I agree to some other comments here about the lack of sharpness on the tip of the flower, but itīs still very very nice.
