When I got the call to work in Blyth today I thought I'd get there early with my camera because I had previously thought this would be a good shot given the right light and conditions.
A cold November morning didn't let me down and I shot about 50 off, this being the best.
The windmills have been there a few years, harnessing the strong winds which usually blow in from the North Sea but this morning was still.
Blyth was a dump until a few years ago but there's a lot of money being spent on regenerating the harbour area.
Hope you like it, a bit of camera work before the daily grind puts me in a better mood! |

Excellent compo, colours and framing, superb sunrise shot. I like those windmills, the clear water and the beautiful shining sky. Very nice photo.

Simply beautiful ! Great POV, colors, contrast and the framing works well. TFS this fine photo. Julie
Hi there!
I love the warm colours, and the composition and POV are great. Well done!
hi neil, excellent shot. great capture --- reflection of the windmills in the calm water enhances the overall composition of the shot. i'm reminded that sunrise is just as great to photograph as sunsets (which is the more commonly posted shot). cheers!

Nice one matey. The central horizon works well here owing to the reflections, and the burn of the sun is just right, you don't arf like your borders don't you :o)
