The Golden Gate Bridge. Not named that for its colour as many believe (in spite of the fact that it's red), but due to the fact that San Francisco is where many people arrived in America to make theit fortune, after vast amounts of gold were discovered. Therefore the bay is called the Golden Bay and the bridge is the Golden Gate Bridge.
-Did some cropping on this one
-rotated it slightly (i took it from a boat on a VERY windy day and most of my pictures came out a tad wonky)
-cloned out an annoying little boat in the bottom left hand corner
-played with selective colour to bring out the bridge and the sky
-used curves to bring the contrast up and give it a bit more depth |
