I took this photo back in September. We had TERRIBLE storms one day. High winds, lots of rain, and power outages. We were watching out the window when we noticed this little critter trying to stay out of the way. This little squirrel was perched atop an old door that was propped up against out neighbor's garage.

I felt bad for him, but my husband reminded me that he was probably better equipped to know what place was safer for him than me. He seemed to be shielded pretty well.

Good to see you posting again, Amy, and I hope you are doing well. Very nicely captured and the pose is very interesting. I have never seen a squirrel do that before. The background is also good as is your composition. Well done!
