[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Sacagawea (c. 1787 – December 20, 1812 or April 9, 1884) was a Shoshone woman who accompanied the Corps of Discovery with Meriwether Lewis and William Clark in their exploration of the Western United States, traveling thousands of miles from North Dakota to the Pacific Ocean between 1804 and 1806.

The story of Sacagawea is fairly controversial. For some, she died in 1812 and for others in 1884. Some say that she is buried in this cemetery and others say that she is somewhere else.

In any case, I found her statue in the cemetery very life-like, and was amazed at how the colour of her dress matched the surrounding landscape.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great week!

Great POV and I love the sky in the background. Her clothes really do match the background and I like how she is angled in the photo. Great shot!

Bonjour Pierre,
Bravo! Annie

A dramatic sight enhanced by the cloudy weather; however by her smile she doesn’t care… A smile which passing ages…

I like the Sylvie-tilt you used here, Paul... somehow it just works here, giving some dynamism to the static statue.
Colours are soft indeed. Well seen, well taken.

Salut Pierre,

The lighting you achieved on this photo is unusual. It looks like a stage lighting coming from one side, at low angle, giving your subject the dramatic stage look. I like the angle of tilt that goes very well with your composition. You did a very good job on this photo.

Nicely done. good pov & angle. My first impression was that she was giving you a lens cap lol!

Hi Pierre,
Great shot of a statue, I take heaps of these but never post them. This one is really good though, awesome angle for the shot, nice and dramatic and perfect composition!
Thanks for the inspiration again!
