This area gets hot, real hot, the whole town is surounded by high sierra. It is nice, on such a hot day, to find a big shady tree in a cool park.

I like the colors. Good use of silouhette, Roger. That's an impressive tree and an inviting spot. -Hugh

WOW!! I'll bet it's not hot today! What an awesome shade tree Roger! Nice lighting and use of the wide angle! Great!

Belle composition Roger!
J'aime beaucoup le contre-jour, la silhouette de l’arbre et le jeu de son ombre qui s’étend en éventail sur l’herbe.
Bravo!
Michel.

franklin park...dont want to be there at night time tho :0) a fellow yakivegan on treklens huh? nice shot

Hi Roger,
I think that your picture is very well composed and I like the wide angle of view. Great recording of the light and shade here, to produce an interesting effect. I like the intensity of the light behind the tree trunk in the center and the fan shaped shadows in the picture foreground. I think your shot succeeds in producing a feeling of escape from the intense heat of the day.
Congratulations!
Bill
