| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| For years now I have wanted to photograph this man. Yesterday I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw him in downtown Lisboa amongst a few thousands of Christmas shoppers. He did not seem at all bothered with my presence or what I was doing. He kept on organising his stamp collection. Somehow, he doesn't strike me as being as lonely as some others, maybe because of his beautiful,white and well looked after canine friends. I have never once seen him without them. |

Hi Nica,
I'm not sure this is the most aesthetically pleasing shot in the world, but for once I'll let that go. There's so much more to this photograph. Every element of it tells a bit more about the story. We can see the man with the reflections of life passing him by in the shop windows. I just love how contenpt he looks with what he has, while everyone around him is no doubt running around hastily spending money.
Really nice shot that keeps you looking at it, which in the end, is what makes a successfull photo.
