Very good shot. I like your idea. It is a pity that the reflection is very slightly cropped. Background is good. I prefer this colour image against your similar black and white version.

Nice detail. I would like to see the whole reflection of the cat and maybe less room at the top?

Will - this is not an easy capture because of the wide range of contrast - you nailed it - gkood use of DOF and composition.
