Mike (Fuji-mon) informed me the "Eye Lash" Game only could be played by TrekLens members, so that meant that Bryan's lashes didn't count...then he challenged me to post mine.

Now, I was not blessed with long lashes..heck, I barely have any at all!! But I do not back down from a challenge, despite my "short" comings...So, why not "extra length" mascara? Yeah, that should do it. Looks great on TV! I eagerly applied the messy black stuff anxious for the lushious lashes to appear like on the models. I got it in my eye. I smeared it all over my eyelid. I tried to wash the stuff off and discovered the one true statement of advertising was WATERPROOF!

Heavy duty laundry soap finally removed the goop and several drops of Visine eye drops removed the red.

I won't even talk about how difficult this particular project was. I will only mention that I filled a 256 MB CompactFlash card and only had two barely acceptable exposures....

Please forgive my use of NI to remove some frown lines and a few extra wrinkles I gained today. Thank you, Mike! Next time let's play an easy game, maybe like taking a photo while skydiving from an airplane.....

******************************
Tech: Don't Try This!!!!
1. Set up tripod
2. Put my eye close to the lens
3. Tried centering my eye and reaching proper focal length while turning my head and NOT looking at the lens.
4. Several neighbors stopped by to make sure I was alright...
5. Finished up a FlashCard
6. Cropped Original
7. Adjusted everything!
8. Ran thru Neat Image (and a shower)
9. Prepared Canvas and painted black
10. Sized and sharpened, framed and locked on canvas.
6. Framed Canvas and added title.

This was a fun project and everyone should give it a try. Seriously. Really. I challenge you! .....:O)

haha...very funny notes..but very nice photo! certainly a great close-up and in details! well done kathleen!

Kath, Kath...can you immagine me digging into my face with my cybershot...giggle, giggle...I'll leave it to the big cannons with the heavy weight equipment to compete here...
I like your shot, amazing but I would have recognized your eye anywhere, I think it's the sparkle of joy in it..(smile) well done!
Miq

Well done Kathleen. Sure is nice to have you in on board. Excelent capture and POV. It's in for sure. :)

Mike

You "done good" Kat! Your note cracks me up, what a laugh! Glad you got a
post-worthy shot. You have pretty eyes and just think, you now are a pro at applying mascara. I see it now in a future posting, "Kat Posing in Her Mary Kay Pink Cadillac!" ;o)

God's best always,

Tim

For your eyes only... Could be a great musical theme for that! It's a good idea. It could be hard sometime to get exactly what you want. Even if it's look simple! I can imagine the tryes!

Wowwww! absolutely perfect! nothing more with saying! Claude

Oh Kat, you make me smile, and sometimes laugh out loud..I love your sense of humor and your witty way of writting.
Very nice addition to the 'eyelash' theme. Well done, even if it took you a ton of shots.

;o). Don't tell me about the difficulties Kat, I experiences some of them myself... though my mascare was not as sticky as yours. (I used the brand called "The emperor's new clothes").
Striking pose, I really like how your eye is focusing to the upper right corner. TFS.
Congrats on having such caring neighbours.

Cool! Not many females dare to get this close to a camera....on the front side! I think it shows sincerity, as I read love and compassion in your eyes. I know that you are one who genuinely cares for your fellow humans and that you are very expressive in all ways. Don't worry about the length of the eylashes. You seem to have near perfect vision and there are many who would love to have that. God is good to us.

And one from you, this is very sharp and clear, I think, I couldn't do this, it's very nice done !

Very good Kathleen, and a funny story to brighten my day.
Thanks,
BC

Nice picture Kathleen, I like it. Nice brown eye! Very well done!
Best regards
Guy
PS I am out of points, sorry!

Oh, I don't know how I missed this one Kat. Boy, what a challenge Mike made for us. I like the angle you chose. Nice and sharp too. I see you had troubles like me in completing this challenge.
Still laughing at your note telling us your experiences.
