This is some kind of anti-portrait.....It isn't red of course, but I like it that way. This is the real skull, excavated at very old cemetery not far from Osijek.
The photo ilustrates our mortality.

I don not share Jas comment. I do not think that TL has to judge the taste, but the technical and artistic aspects . The only restriction on TL is : no nude ... anyway

In that particular picture, Claire, I do prefer your ws in B&W... revealing more contrast and correcting the RH side (his side ;o)) that is a bit washed out on the original.

The way the skull is emprisonned in the soil really fits with your title "from the dust". This is one efficient way to remind us that we belong to the earth.

Assez morbide et irrespectuex. Si au moins il y aurait une explication plus substantielle du pour quoi cette photographie. Respecter les morts je crois est le respect pour notre essence humaine. Je ne trouve pas l'art dans cette photographie

Note the 23th december. After correspondance with Claire, and clarifications about the context of the photograph I change my critics.
Richard, we have right to expose our feelings is part of the game here. All we do every day is an judgement with our perceptive system. So was understand by Claire and qe exchange a wealthy correspondance.
